Alan, You give us your forward DNS entried but not the reverse DNS. My bet would be that your reverse DNS files have 172.22.97.69 resolving back to ciml34001 ?? I would check that with nslookup from

If you discover a device and add it afterwards to the DNS the selection name of the object will NOT be the DNS name - Netview only changes the Label of the object. So if you do some scripting and you
