You can look in your bptm log for information which will tell you what your buffers are doing If you do a search on the symantec knowledge base you should find a few technotes Search for SIZE_DATA_BU

Just a note that you shouldn't use the Solaris kernel settings for Sol 10 because the default value is much bigger. Eg shmsys:shminfo_shmmax On Solaris 10 it will default to 1/4 of physical memory wh
