Here's a doozy from the NBU 4.5 Release Notes: "Caution -- Do not attempt to configure NetBackup 4.5 by using copies of the Motif GUI from an earlier release. Doing so will corrupt your NetBackup 4.5

Hey! After testing the 4.5 Beta.. xbpadm was gone.. but xbp was still there... (no xbpmon/xvmadm either) But Java is much better... after you get use to it.. going back to Motif... if hard... Shahar.

Try installing the java GUI on your linux box and using it to connect across the slow link. That way, only the data needs to be sent, not the window/graphic/etc stuff. Just like you wouldn't run Nets
