Hi, I am evaluating FlashBackup-Windows. I am backing up a 1.8TB Volume, with millions of 1kb files and via SAN, its taking 3 days. During a quck FB-Windows Test Policy, I got this down to 7 hours. H

To improve restore performance I was told by SYMC that I would need to enter the individual ESX host that this VM lives on into the Credentials > Virtual Machine Servers section. This will bypass the

Hello Simon. I can answer you only to the first question. Unfortunately the file restore of a single file can take as long as a full restore, as netbackup has to read the backup to find the file. If

My testing with FlashBackup here has generally resulted in faster volume restores than volume backups. This is dependent on many factors, including the activity of the disk / raid group during backup

Hi jonathan I would like some real world advice on this then. Because if I understand correctly, although I have 4 volumes to backup as FlashBackup-Windows, I dont see any options to do "Streams". So

The stream options are the same on a Flashbackup policy as they are on any other. Policy > Allow Multiple Data Streams creates one backup job per item in the file selection list Media Manager Storage

you can put each volume in serperatly and the job will spawn off a backup for each volume. Example: \\.\D: \\.\E: \\.\F: the job will spawn off three backup jobs one for each volume. +-- +-- ________
