David, I have seen this error before. Veritas has had 3 recommendations to try to resolve this that they had mentioned to me, but nothing definitive. 1) make sure the /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/bpdbm.l

David Did you accept the default Port Numbers when you installed NetBackup. If so is there a conflict with one of the Ports that NetBackup is using in /etc/services. Regards Pete Beglan Veritas Consu
