Hi, The only draw back with NMM is "You cannot do a client initiated backup". Yes, I know for some it hurts a lot to hear this. But, this is the truth - NMM does not support client initiated backup.

Technically, the savegrp command calls a server-initiated backup. I have to admit, I do not have any systems with the NMM installed, so I cannot test this. Is it explicitly forbidden somewhere? Thx -

I don't know if this will help you but I start a Networker Group from a client with a script. I'm not running the backup commands directly but merely signaling the group to start. The script I use is
