I have seen exactly the same thing. It's related to file descriptors being held open. I think what I did to solve it was closing stderr on the command line within the precmd field, using: mypowershel

Hallo Davina, thanks for your suggestion. But it didn't help to run a ps script. I made a quick and dirty hack. I run the ps script from a visual basic script with wscript.exe. Not really elegant but
