Hi Hans, I was surprised to hear that anybody is using NetWorker to do mailbox backups, it's far too slow for us to use - our setup is NW server 7.1.2. under Solaris 8, Exchange 2000 (400 mailboxes)

What is your parallelism for these backups set to? Even at 330K/sec, you should get around 4GB/hour of the backup. We get around 800K/sec doing bricklevel backups (Exchange 2003, Windows 2003, NW Mod

I do not backup the PST files or do bricklevel backups of the mailserver. But it is handy to do a recover of "lost" emails. EXMERGE for Exchange 2000 is multithreaded so I think it is faster than Leg

We only backup a subset of users, and we specifiy each as a separate saveset (you can also use an external file to specifiy it). The important thing is to watch during the backup. I see each mailbox
