I have a tape device wherein I set "Read only" to Yes. The device is Enabled. Why does NetWorker still try to use the device for backups? I came in this morning, and NetWorker was waiting for a write

I agree. I am running 7.2.2. I have 3 devices I am sharing using DDS with 4 storage nodes. I have one drive read only for each storage node. It will mount a tape to the read only device during backup

The affected tape library is a Quantum M1800 with 4 SDLT-600 drives. There is no mixed media. Others concur with what you said, and also about disabling the drive as a work around, so the consensus s
