I have been a AIX System admin for a while, but now I am trying to install Networker on Linux Slackware. when installing a Legato networker 6.1.1 client on Slackware Linux a message saying theses are

Ed, I believe the files you have listed are linux lib files. Some of them are for the "X" environment, some are for cursive support, some are command interpreters, and others are simply OS lib files.

I use it with Slackware. There is a package called alien that allows you to change the package type. The URL is http://kitenet.net/programs/alien/ I've converted the rpm to a tgz and away we went onc

actually, you don't even need that. Slackware comes with a program called "rpm2tgz". I would copy all the RPMs you think you will need from the directories on the Legato CD (LGTOclnt LGTOman ...) to
/usr/local/webapp/mharc-adsm.org/html/Networker/2002-08/msg00315.html (12,146 bytes)

This is what I ended up doing to make it work: In order to install the Legato Networker client at the May 2002 level the following had to be done. 1. Mount the Legato Linux client CD 2. Logon as root
