George, I think whenever you start a new activity Networker rewinds the tape to verify the tape label. I don't think it keeps any information about the state of the tape between actions. But that's j

George, NetWorker rewinds the tape to make sure that it's writing to the correct tape; I also believe part of the other purpose is that when it's finished writing it will write a double-EOF to signif

Similar problem. Have used 6.x - 7.4 with no problem, when appending to a tape that is already in the drive the tape move a few records to verify (label and position). Done in seconds. After install
