Hi Tom, Why not use 'uasm' which comes w/ legato. I believe it does not need a license or any "other" daemons running to read tapes. BTW, Under Solaris, it's /lib/nsr/uasm. Regards, /\/elson -- ~~ **

Thanks guys for responding. I have been using the scanner w/ uasm and this works great. However, I projected that the restores will take several months and mgmt wanted to ensure that all licensing ob
