Only if you shutdown the Notes server services first (especially if you set up the Notes server to use transactional logging). Otherwise, you may not be able to restore the file. Dave --Original Mess

Yes. If you want to use flat file backup, you will need to shutdown all Notes related services. How you do this will vary depending on what OS Notes is running on. It's fairly simple to write a scrip
