When you right click on a tape and select 'recycle' the only thing you can change is the 'policy' as to how the tape changes mode to become 'recyclable' , either 'automatically' (as save-sets expire)

Agreed ! -- Either Way - the <not in media index> indicates that Networker does not know what is on the tape, only what label it thinks is on it. Verify the label on the tape via an inventory of it (
