I am currently using Debian Lenny and bacula 2.4.3-1. Before I was using I presume something like version 2.2X. On the earlier version, using a HP Ultrium 448 and LTO-2 tapes of 400GB, i was able to

Your configuration is fine. Well except for /dev/st0. You should not use that. Use /dev/nst0 instead. Your problem generally is either a bad SCSI driver or some bad SCSI hardware, bad tape drive or

None of that looks bad. Check the scsi cabling and also you can try the btape tests or even try to fill a tape with tar or dd. I would look into this furthur but its 2:45 in the morning here. John --
