Hello, For huge databases, a dump is really too slow to restore. mylvmbackup can take a consistent snapshot of the database. The backup is a bit longer, the backup file is bigger, restore is much fas

Snapshot backups are definitely the way to go if you have that option. (It's the method I actually use.) Truth to tell, I'm not sure I could in good conscience recommend any of the maatkit tools for
