Sounds like the USB drive is really slow to come out of sleep mode. Check out http://zhigang.org/blog/seagate-freeagent-auto-spindown-under-linux/ to turn off auto spin down. -- _____________________

You could try a RunBeforeJob command that includes something like /bin/ls /auto-mounted-fs >>/dev/null /bin/sleep 60 You may not actually need the sleep statement so try it without too. alternativel
