No, it should be a matter of having a working sendmail on the machine. Can the 'mail' program send from the command line? Do you see entries in /var/log/maillog with reasons for failure? -- Les Mikes

and be careful where you send them! I am pretty sure that BackupPC emails were responsible for my IP address getting blacklisted last week. I had it conifgured to send to my gmail address, from where
