Hello, when trying out backuppc in vmware, before I used it for our offices, I was able to edit the configuration files using the backuppc web gui. now on the 'real' I can not do this and as far as I

This isn't related to the linux users/permissions. You need to configure apache to do authentication and log is as a web user that matches what you specify in $Conf{CgiAdminUsers}. -- Les Mikesell le
