The error basically means what it says - the credentials you are using aren't allowed to read the directory. You can try using smbclient interactively with the same target to see what you are allowed

I can't seem to pinpoint the problem -N was not set, all of my settings are the same as they were on my old server it worked fine but the new BackupPC server is having issues. I am going to reload it
