Typically daily amdump runs and retaining 2 wks worth of data would require 15 tapes. Alternatives exist that could use fewer tapes. But as always that would require some limitations. One alternative

Give a 1 wk dumpcycle (aka 7 days) how often during a single dumpcycle will you run a backup (aka amdump)? It does not take any units like "days". runspercycle 1 One dump per week runspercycle 5 Week
