You can do two things : 1) Create multiple backup schedules by splitting up the data if this is a Windows various shared drives and have them run in parallel or group filesystems in different schedul

If multiple file systems you could make sure there's a stream for each, you could break it in small chunk with more stream using the Virtual Mount point option then increase the Resource Util and Max

Journaling seems to be a good choice for Windows, should be good one for AIX. Our windows server with about 2 million objects, only about 700K get inspected. The backup went from 10-12 hours to 2-5 h
