Maybe I am wrong, but RMAN is not able to backup databases directly to NFS file systems. Options are: local disk or TSM. By the way, TSM can be configured to use FILE pool using NFS mounted file syst

We just tested this. We sent RMAN backups directly to a NFS mounted filesystem with no problems. Rick Maybe I am wrong, but RMAN is not able to backup databases directly to NFS file systems. Options

I've seen Oracle propose backups from RMAN to NFS-mounted file spaces as the best solution in a proposed configuration. This was an Exadata configuration, but, RMAN is RMAN. Sigh, Nick
