- You generally only need more than one entry if you're dividing a disk into small chunks to fit on your tape. You need to change tapes between 'amdump' calls, or oftener if you set runtapes > 1. That

- This is wheat and this is frosted Frosted :-) You'll prefer to have at least 2x dumpcycle*runspercycle tapes in the rotation if you think about the ramifications of overwriting your last full backup

- Also, I currently am using a 7 tape changer (which I think I have mtx talking to nicely but with some small eccentricities). I currently have it setup as follows: dumpcycle 1 week runspercycle 6 tap

- My personal sysadmin philosophy is to keep system directories for vendor supplied system software. Added software goes into its own tree(s) like /usr/local or /opt (different fs's then / or /usr). YM
