Hi,

How can I do Windows OS image backups whitout using cristie cbmr?

I always use cristie cbmr but now I need to use backup/archive cliente.

Thanks in advance!

Not really - you can't do a restore of the C: Image backup and expect 100% success.

The way it is done is do SystemState, System Object (depends on Windows version), and ASR backups regularly.

The restore requires you to setup the base Windows (you can use the ASR method if you have it outside of TSM) OS on an INDENTICAL hardware, install the TSM BA client, and then restore the SystemState and System Object. This should return your server to its original setup.

Restore the other drives using an Image or regular backup.

OK, maybe I can use TSM fastback for BMR?

But I will need a Fastback server

true...true

I require it for RTO

So..I will review for CBMR Licence and Fastback costs
