Why does HSM use "Archive Settings" & not "HSM Settings"

Hi All,

I have been testing HSM for Windows, and have discovered that when I run the migration job, the files are migratred to the storage pool specified in the "Achieve Settings" area of the management class. And not to the storage pool specified in the "HSM Setings" area of the management class.

Is there a reason for this?

Hi

You can use this settings only with TSM for Space management (UNIX).
HSM for Windows use archive copy group.
Don't forget set retention to NOLIMIT (365 by default) and backup data before migration.
