WEB GUI on 5.4

I am upgrading to 5.4 from 5.3 and I really would like to be able to use the old reliable web based administrator.

I am on a AIX 5.4.3 box running TSM 5.3.4

Is there a way to run the web based admin on the 5.4 TSM? If so, what do I have to do to make it work?

The ISC is ok, but it needs a lot of work yet.

Command line. Might as well get use to it now. The web admin will be completely gone in future versions.

yes it works on 5.4 as well. The procedure is really the same you used for 5.3 version.

I feel your pain but after struggling for a while I gave up. So yes, I use ISC now and a lot more command line then I used to.

ISC sucks a lot and if IBM doesn't change it it will never be big.

Has there been any explanation as to why they removed the web administrator? We run TSM on Z/OS and ISC won't run on that platform. We would have to get another server just for ISC and that's not likely to happen. Command line is OK, but the web admin was sooooo much easier.

I have been using the web interface on 5.4 server for quite some time, and it works as good as it does with 5.3, no need to worry.
