Greetings All,
\i have configure the web client on my clients' node. the problem is that when restoring files. I cannot browse the workstation local drive or mapped drives. For more details, if I configured the web client on workstation A and I was accessing the webclient of that machine on workstation B, I could not see the local and mapped drive of station B to restore files to a location in station B.

Please help

Of course you cannot - the backup was for A and not B.

Have you named B as A in the dsm.opt file?

Thanks Moon for reply.
What I mean is to select a location to restore my files to that location. I need to browse local and mapped drive of workstation B to restore/retrieve my files into B.

Ineed to understand what you are trying to do.

Are you restoring files backed up on Node A to Node B, and that you are attempting to connect to the TSM server via node B?

If so, on node B, enter:

dsmc retrieve -fromnode=node_A \\Node_A\universe\saturn.planet c:\

Note that you need to know the source and destination.

What I mean is that:
I configure a web client on a node A and the user on that node will archive files. Another user on node B will go his browser and access node A wTSM web client on address http://node_A:1581 and he will select file(s) to retrieve with no problem. The problem is that the node B user wants to select a destination on his local workstation to retreive files to but his drives are not listed when he clicks "Select" button. See attached..

I see two solutions:

1: Mapped a drive letter or NFS mount from system A to system B.
I'm suspecting that the two system are running the same OS.

2: Install and configure the TSM Client Web on system B.
Then on system B - http//node_B:1581 then backup/archive the data that you want on system B.

Good Luck,
Sias
