Hi all.
In an TSM Operational Report i find that warning:
...
2008-01-08 11:18 ANR1794W TSM SAN discovery is disabled by options.
...
repeated frequently.

Looking to the actlog i find then that:
...
01/08/08 10:08:54 ANR4726I The NAS-NDMP support module has been loaded.
01/08/08 10:08:54 ANR1794W TSM SAN discovery is disabled by options.
01/08/08 10:08:54 ANR1794W TSM SAN discovery is disabled by options.
...

The option SANdiscovery if off, in TSM Server opt.:
Server Option Option Setting
----------------- --------------------
SANdiscovery Off

Sincerely i don't understand this warning.
It' related to a TSM BA Client configuration? Or to another TSM Server options?

I'm not able to find something useful on admin/reference/client guide about that.
Can anyone helps me?

Thanks!

Regards
M

TSM SAN Discovery is a TSM server option (kept in dsmserv.opt) When enabled, it tells TSM to rediscover and SAN devices on startup and update paths to reflect the moved resources.

Hi Heada and thanks for the reply.
Yes, i understand what TSM SAN Discovery is, and i post the output of :
"query option SANdiscovery" at TSM server; SANdiscovery is OFF, as it must be.

But i've never seen before that error:
...
01/08/08 10:08:54 ANR4726I The NAS-NDMP support module has been loaded.
01/08/08 10:08:54 ANR1794W TSM SAN discovery is disabled by options.
01/08/08 10:08:54 ANR1794W TSM SAN discovery is disabled by options.
...
it load a NAS-NDMP module to do a san discovery but found that is disable by option; but why this module has been loaded?

There is not SAN or NAS in working environment...only a SCSI attached library.

Who (client, server...) asks to load this module?
Which is the event that generates that output?

Thanks for any advice!
Regards
M
