VxFS on Solaris

This is my first time setting up HSM on Solaris. We installed VxFS on a filesystem called /asm (only). With the understanding that HSM can only be installed on VxFS file systems, and that HSM installs in /opt, will there be an issue with this?

HSM is going to install in TSM's working directory. If /opt is Tivoli's home after installation you will find it in the path. Yes, HSM looks for VxVM and VxFS as prerequites via the thsmdmapi script. This is the script you will execute first upon installation of the HSM code. Now if you have VxFS previously installed and its newer than what the thsmdmapi script identifies, you can simply comment out the first two stanzas of this script. It then load the necessary kernel modules and startup scripts.
