we have outsourced our backup operations, and are having a heck of a time getting the restore speeds we are paying for on VMWare machines.
If we bundle the VMware on more session/threads we can get somewhere near the speeds we expect to see (2-3 TB an hour)
but if we do a single VM ware we only get a speed of around 630 GB an hour, what gives?
We have checked the storage and network speeds interdependently and both are giving the performance we expect.
we have 10GB dedicated fiber to our backup vendor.
As we don't have direct access to the TSM equipment we are a bit stumped as they say this is as fast a single session/thread will go. We are on the newest versions of TSM and the hardware is all new.
can someone tell what settings to ask for or similar on the TSM
