VE Backups - Moving to Tags and Containers

I've got a customer that wants to start using tagged-based backups and also start using container storage pools. They currently have disk and tape pools in place along with multiple schedules that backup specific datastores.

I want to simplify this by leveraging tag-based schedules and move them from tape to container storage pool. I would love to just rename the old VE nodes and start fresh with full backups over the weekend to containers, but they want to do this in phases, so I need to come up with a plan on how to do this.

I'm thinking I should do a full backup to container for the VM's I'm migrating. Should I create a full tag schedule and then another incremental one and keep moving them from full to incr each daily phase??

Any ideas on best way to do this??

No need to have separate schedules - VE backup should be incr forever by default, meaning your schedule should have "-MODE=IFINCR" and when you assign a tag for the VM, first backup will be a full one followed by incrementals.
