All,

was wondering if anyone is using a disk based replication (like SRDF) for their TSM DB? If so, any gotchas to be aware of? We are thinking of using this, if possible, to speed up recovery during a DR. A "regular" tape backup of DB would still be taken. Discussions have centered around SRDF/A (async replication), to avoid shutting the TSM DB.

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

why not doing a Db Mirror via TSM ?,

creat a copy of your Db volume, you can put it in a another Disk array if you want,

this method is recommend by IBM, it will assure you security and better performance.

have a look on the Technote....

here we prefered put that in place than a hard mirror
