    Hello everyone!!

I have a TSM 5.4 server installed on AIX 5.2 and connected to a TS3584 Libray with 5 LTO4 drives.

I want to upgrade the TSM to the newer IBM spectrum version in a new AIX 7.1 LPAR connected to a new TS3310 library with 4 LTO7 drives.

I would like to know what is the best way to upgrade the tsm server and migrate all data to the new TS3310 Library and LTO7 tapes?
Also the hardware requirements ( Processor ,memory ...) for the new IBM spectrum on power8 server knowing that i will use deduplication and replication ?

Thanks in advance for your help.

That method can be lengthy, but given that the OP also need to move the data from LTO4 to LTO7, that's actually a good method because it would achieve both moving to 7.1 and LTO7 at the same time.
