Upgrading TSM from ver 6.3 to 7.1 on AIX servers

Hi everyone,

We are planning for the above activity.
During the upgrade to ver 6.3 last year, there was a script named prereqcheck.bin that was available in the SW package.
I had hoped that a similar utility was available for TSM ver. 7.1.3 SW package, but NO.
Anyone who knows the reason for removing this utility?
This was a optimal utility to check if prereq is OK.

At 7.1, they started using the "IBM Installation Manager" to perform the install, that's possibly why they removed the prereqcheck. It will still check the prereqs when you start the install though, it won't let you install if the prereqs fail.

I have same scenarios. But license not compatible when update to 7.1.3.
