We are currently sending backup/archives to s3 Standard storage, and have a lifecycle rule that moves all data to Standard-IA after 30 days. We would like to start sending only new backups/archives to Glacier IR, but keep existing data where it is. Can this be accomplished just by updating the stg pool to CLOUDSTORAGEClass=GLACIER_IR or are there any caveats? Another possibility would be to create new stgpools, but seems like this would be much more difficult since all the copy pools would have to change as well.
