Unable to install TSM server in Win 2012 R2

Hi,

We tried to migrate our current TSM server on newly installed hardware but while installing server setup observed that TSM server application gets installed but DB2 showing error in final installation screen. When checked found db2 folder after installation complete is empty without having sub folders. We are unable to find the root cause for same as previously with same installation setup we have performed migration.

Current Server OS: Windows 20008 R2 x64 with SP1
TSM server version: 6.3..4.0
New Server OS:Winodws 2012 R2

Not sure if that would help, but if you must remain at an unsupported level, at least try the latest release at that level which would be 6.3.6.100. Possibly your issue is a known issue fixed at a later release.

6.3.4 may not be supported by Windows 2012. Since TSM 6.3.4 is out of support, IBM will not help without a fee.

Another reason why the install fails is Windows Security that is a bit tighter in Windows 2012. Try to lower the Security stance and see if the install succeeds.
