Unable to connect to the server after reboot

Hello Harry,

we are using TSM 6.3 server windows, I rebooted the server and after the reboot I am not able to start the server in background, but the server starts fine in foreground no errors reported... can you please help here...

I tried telnet using the port number, it is working fine..
tried netstat -a to check the port is listening or not, it is also working fine..

Hi,

1st - I have moved the post to the new thread - it was not related to the original one
2nd - you say the server can be started in the foreground - can clients connect to it? Can you try to run the server in the foreground and then run the dsmadmc to see, if there is anything in the console on the server (or in the activity log - "Q ACT")? Not sure if dsmadmc version 5.4.x can connect to the 6.2.3 server (should work - but may not).
3rd - show me the "Q OPT TCPPORT" and "Q OPT TCPADMINPORT" - when running the server on the foreground.

No client were able to connect to Server...

Thanks to Microsoft tech note which showed me the answer to my questions....

Port was blocked by other server, we worked with platform team and made sure only TSM server uses that port..

We are using TSM 6.3 on Linux..
