Situation is we're running tsm 6.2.2.2 and I need to find a way to monitor both our tivoli server and our tape library as well as find a way to monitor our nodes and let users know if any part of their backup process has failed.

I would love to use Nagios to do this and I thought I had found a way to do that with the following link:

http://exchange.nagios.org/director...very/Tivoli-Storage-Manager/check_tsm/details

But the download for those checks is corrupt so I don't ever download anything. Then I found the following:

http://thobias.org/tsm/tsmmonitor/

Which I thought work work but the server I'm running it on has dsmadmc installed and i can use that command on the server but for some reason the script keeps giving me an error when I try to run it "Error executing the command dsmadmc"

Any help would be great. Thanks

tsmmonitor has the following path for dsmadmc set by default. Is the path correct for your server ?

############### tsm server information
#
# dsmadmc command path
DSMADMC='/usr/bin/dsmadmc'

It turns out a lot of the commands just don't seem to work with our tivoli deployment but some are working ok. I'll be talking with the TSM admin a bit more to see what they think. I'm going to close this for now. Thanks.
