TSM v7.1.1 Monitoring Install: missing com.tivoli.dsm.reporting.itm.aix

Hi,

Why installing TSM reporting it failed, due to missing file:
com.tivoli.dsm.reporting.itm.aix1_6.3.0.3 does not exist (at /.../repository/native/com.tivoli.dsm.reporting.itm.aix1_6.3.0.3.zip)

I had two archives downloaded:
TSMRPT-Full-Installer-1of2-AIX-7.1.3.000.bin
TSMRPT-Full-Installer-2of2-AIX-7.1.3.000.bin

I unpacked first one, second one complaints:

UnZipSFX 6.00 of 20 April 2009, by Info-ZIP (http://www.info-zip.org).
End-of-central-directory signature not found.

I dont know if it is OK (was it unpacked when unpacking file 1/2 perhaps)?

I am not sure if file is uncorrupted. IBM site shows different file name and different checksum then what it actually downloads.

I just checked the IBM website, the names you have downloaded match, but if the checksum is different, then you should redownload them.

You needed to unpack it, given it gave you an error, that's emphasizes the point to redownload the file. Since the first one extracted fine, but not the second, I would only redownload the second.

Currently I cannot login to password advantage online, so I cannot copy here what files it shows. But yesterday I tried to re-download it (filenames shown on screen were indeed different) and without downloading it said it is already downloaded (via download director). When I changed destination directory, it plainly copied existing file from previous directory. There was no setting "overwrite" or so..


Is it possible to have plain ftp link for the files?

Passport Advantage has the GA (general availability release), while the TSM Support Page has fixpacks. It's normal the name will be different, they are different packages.

GA files are only available from Passport Advantage, there's a link on the Passport Advantage Online page for support contact info, you can contact them to fix your connection issue.

Or you can go to the TSM Support Page for the latest download: http://www-947.ibm.com/support/entry/portal/Overview/Software/Tivoli/Tivoli_Storage_Manager Since there are no licenses for Reporting and Monitoring, you can go directly to the latest, which by the filenames you gave earlier, it looks you were doing.

Resolved. I redownloaded the second file and was able to unpack it.
