We need a TSM specialist to help our LRS IT Solutions team.
LRS IT Solutions is an IBM Premier Business Partner offering a complete line of IBM systems, software and services, including TSM. Our new TSM Watchdog managed service offering integrates with Tivoli Storage Manager, which has a United States install base of more than 10,000 customers.
As a TSM Specialist, you will provide software and hardware planning, installation and configuration services, software upgrades, performance tuning, administration and problem determination/resolution. You may also be involved in designing and explaining creative technical solutions for our customers.
Our TSM Specialist will perform consulting services for customers related to TSM environments and storage management . You will develop time estimates for consulting assignments and complete the assignments within the estimated time. You will maintain TSM product knowledge and technical skills that exceed those of our clients.
At times, you will lead a technical team, develop project plans, or conduct project resource assessments. You will assist in sales efforts with the local sales teams. You will conduct web-based meetings as well as face-to-face meetings with customers and prospects. You will be required to travel to customer sites located primarily in St. Louis and Central IL. LRS maintains a Blade Center and Storage Solution Center in Springfield, IL and you will be involved in supporting TSM demonstration systems at this facility.
Performance Objectives:
•Demonstrate expert-level product knowledge for IBM TSM solutions and competitive solutions
•Perform billable services engagements, including installation/implementation of TSM
•Provide technical pre-sales leadership and consult with customers on TSM
•Educate LRS Sales Team on TSM solutions and storage management
•Network with IBM and other LRS Partners related to TSM solutions
•Assist LRS management team in the development and execution of programs to increase TSM revenue
Requirements:
•You must have at least 3 years of proven technical experience in TSM.
•You must be willing to travel within your defined geography.
You must currently have at least one of the following TSM Technical Certifications:
•Certified Deployment Professional – TSM
•Certified Solution Advisor – Tivoli Storage Solutions
•Certified Advanced Deployment Professional – IBM Service Management TSM
Knowledge of other storage management/backup solutions will make you a stronger candidate.
