Hi

Our TSM is TSM 5.5 on Windows Sever 2008.

Our TSM crashed and we lost the volume Backuppool3.dsm

And TSM console is not coming up as TSM servcie on services.msc couldn't be started

TSM Server Diagnostic: ANR9999D: Zero length disk T:\TSM_VOLUMES\BACKUPPOOL3.DSM.

Please suggest think to reslove this issue.

Hi,
loss of storagepool volume should not be the reason for TSM not coming up.
Try to run the TSM server in the foreground (using "dsmserv.exe") and post the output here.

Hi,
so it seems not only the stgpool volume but the TSM database and recovery log volumes are not accessible. Check the file "dsmserv.dsk" - it contains the list of database and recovery log volumes - do they exist? Are they accessible?
If not, then TSM database recovery is needed (looks like that) - do you have recent TSM DB backup? (check the "volhist.out" file and look for DBBACKUP or DBSNAPSHOT volumes).
