TSM server upgrade from 8.1.0

Hello all,

I would like to upgrade our tsm server (windows) from version 8.1.0 to the latest. Please help me with the supporting documents. I have not found any and I have doubt if i want to download the pakage of 8.1.9 and then proceed with the installation? also we have TSM for VE. so which packages should i select for the upgradation.

Technically, going from 8.1.0 to 8.1.x is not an upgrade, but applying a fix pack. I know it's semantics, but the distinction is important when trying to find the documentation:

Why do you have doubts? Latest fixpack contains the most fixes. In fact, I'd go with 8.1.9.100: https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/1275274

You should be able to go directly to the latest release which is 8.1.9.100.
As always take a database backup, and then backup your devconfig and volhist files before undertaking any upgrade/update.

TDP for VE is at 8.1.9.0 and I'd recommend going to it as well.
