Tsm server 5.5 not starting

Dear Friends,

I am using TSM 5.5 which is installed on AIX 5.3 and i am new to TSM, recently i am facing the Error as below while starting the TSM Server.Please go through below error and kindly help me to start TSM server. Thanks in advance.

looks like the tsm filesystems are not mounted. The output of the following commands could be helpful
mount
lsvg
lsvg | lsvg -il
 
Hello,

seems your filesystem (/tsm/db) with DB is not mounted - check this first before trying to restore the DB.
(the only relevant part is the output from "dsmserv" command)

Can you find dsmserv.dsk file and post it here? (should contain all DB/RLOG names) - can you find these files?

Hi,

that's it - these files are missing - seems they were created automatically by DB/RLOG trigger. Is it possible someone deleted them?
If you cannot find them (and as /tsm filesystem seems OK it looks they are lost), you have to restore your DB from the last backup.
Do you have one? (looking for "volhist.out" - default name - should reveal the date/time and the volumes used for last DB backup)

Hi,

well - it is not good - seems your latest DB backup is from August 6th - was the server running after that date? Can you see these files in /tsm/dbbackup ?

I just tried the below command for restore the tsm DB from /tsm/dbbackup. But i am getting error as below.

bash-3.2# dsmserv restore db todate=2013/08/06 totime=17:37

Let me say Thanks for your patience in Supporting me. Actually i am new to TSM. The TSM server were working fine previously.
i faced this issue was started when server was restarted.

Actually we had 2 sets of the backup in our environment. i will be happy if get Data till AUG 6th as this server got 3 years critical Backup.
even i went to IBM links which was provided by you.. but there is no changes kindly find below output shall i replace the dsmserv.opt. i will be very thankfull for your support.
