TSM for Sharepoint going away?

I have heard some speculation that TSM for Sharepoint will reach the end of support on April 30, 2014. The speculation is that this will not be replaced. I have been unable to find any announcement letters to date. Has anyone else heard about this? I can say that I will have a few unhappy customers, however there may be a path to move to the DocAve product directly.

If you need that sort of functionality, call IBM and ask what will be replacing it - I can't believe that IBM would just pull the product without anything to fill that hole.

To be honest, not a big deal - you can still backup the database which is a simple SQL DB.

We don't use TSM for Sharepoint. We just backup the database through TSM TDP for SQL.

Thanks for the feedback. This will impact some of my larger customers. They already back up the SQL DBs (over 4 TB) with the TDP for SQL. So it will be interesting. I guess they may have to migrate to DocAVE if they want to maintain their sharepoint infastructure.
