TSM for SharePoint average and good performance throughput

Can somebody give me the clue on TSM for SharePoint average and good performance throughput for both granular and platform backups?

we are getting the average of 27GB in 2Hrs for platform backups with single channel but user is not happy and they are looking for atleast 50GB/Hr as this is the throughput he gets with native sharepoint backup dump to a file.

Please advise on better scenarios and performance parameters.

You can try launching two jobs at the same time. For example you start backing up sites from A-N and N-Z both at the same time. If the hardware can support it you should get double throughput.
