Strategic Staffing Solutions has multiple (2-3) positions open in either Charlotte, NC or Winston-Salem, NC for Senior Level Tivoli Storage Manager Engineers or Systems Administrators. It's a long term contract (12-24 months) and the client cuts contracts in 6 month segments but consider this a long term opportunity. Salary/Rate range is 90K to 100K based on experience level and fit with the project. Details:
Provide consulting and expertise to design, test, implement, and verify complex customer solutions and enhancements which are large in scope, technically difficult, and impact combinations of platforms and computing environments.
Use and monitor systems, software, hardware, and tools.
Assure quality of products and services
Maintain the accuracy and asess the use and effectiveness of all process documentation
Use appropriate tools to perform complex problem determination and root cause analysis
Facilitate contact with customers to ensure that their expectations are understood and met
Advise customers on alternatives to effectively target business needs and opportunities
Respond to information requests within own area of expertise
Provide 3rd level production support for Enterprise Backup Solution
Requirements:
Typically 7 or more years of experience
Experienced with identifying and organizing potential problems solvers botht within and outside own area, and gaining agreement on the problem solving process, risk assessment, decision point, and criteria.
Expert knowledge and understanding in use of systems, hardware, software, and tools required.
Extensive experience consulting with customers, peers, and teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and as a member of a high performance team.
Proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs.
4 yr degree or equivalent experience
Demonstrated strategic planning, project management and facilitaiton skills
Proven leadership, time managementt and negotiating skills
Highly effecive in workin with and mentoring junior team members.
Must have solid implementation and administration experiencne with Tivoli Storage Manager.
System administration background for all major UNIX and Windows NT operating systems is required
