TSM Disk Volume Limitations

I attempted to create 2 disk volumes that are 80GB and both volume creations failed. Both volumes stopped at 68589453312 bytes. The filesystems the disk volumes were to be created on have plenty of space. I have created disk volumes that are 50GB with no problem. I am running TSM 4.2 on AIX 4.3.



Does anyone know if there is a TSM size limitation on disk volumes?

I do not recall of any limits for db volume or storage volumes. What limits these volume are the file system.



That I am aware of, only that the recovery log volume has a limit of 8GB for TSM 4.X .

The problem is not from TSM, it is from AIX. The max flie size in AIX 4.X is only 64GB per file.

That is why it stopped and failed at 64GB.
