TSM DB volume is not been identified

Hi All,

We are running TSM Server 5.5 in solaris, we had server reboot last week, after reboot the TSM server is not coming up. Its not able detect the TSM DB volume which got assigned to DB as raw disk. Following is the error message we are getting we try to start the TSM

ANR7800I DSMSERV generated at 10:53:16 on Nov 26 2008.
ANR7801I Subsystem process ID is 1773.
ANR4726I The ICC support module has been loaded.
ANR0990I Server restart-recovery in progress.
Oct 18 17:33:25 brscdgmohpibr01 ufs: NOTICE: mount: not a UFS magic number (0x0)
Oct 18 17:33:25 brscdgmohpibr01 last message repeated 1 time

Hi ,

I am a beginner to TSM and too have the same problem while trying to start TSM server, the dsmserv shows following errors:

ANR7800I DSMSERV generated at 11:39:21 on Jun 18 2009.
ANR7801I Subsystem process ID is 9054.
ANR0900I Processing options file dsmserv.opt.
ANR4726I The ICC support module has been loaded.
ANR0990I Server restart-recovery in progress.
ANR9905W Unable to open file /data/mnt/syspart01/tsm/bin/bin/log.dsm. No such
file or directory.
ANR9905W Unable to open file /data/mnt/syspart01/tsm/bin/bin/db.dsm. No such
file or directory.
ANR0259E Unable to read complete restart/checkpoint information from any
database or recovery log volume.

I am not sure if have a backup already available.

Please help how can I resolve above problem

Hello,

can you "see" the required files in the OS?
/data/mnt/syspart01/tsm/bin/bin/log.dsm
/data/mnt/syspart01/tsm/bin/bin/db.dsm

Is the required filesystem mounted?
