The previous administrator installed TSM with database and log copy's on the same physical disk. I'm seeing disk queue lengths in the 25+ range with active processes running in TSM. Since they are on the same disk, I just want to remove the redundant copy. I'm not having any luck finding the instructions on how to do this. Can anyone help me?

Hi,

seems you are talking about TSM v5.x - if it is so, then "delete dbvolume" and "delete logvolume" is what you are looking for (db/rlog volumes for copies are defined via "def dbcopy"/"def logcopy" - but are deleted the same way as any other db/rlog volume)

Hope it helps

That worked. I had to follow the steps in this article. What a painful day though, first restore failed due to permission issues with my AD account and had to redo it with the service account. :D

Still DB2 is hitting the disk queue around 5 for just the single DB. I'm thinking I just need faster disks.
